Installation and Upgrade
INTRODUCTION
ActiveEmail SMTP/POP3 Toolkit 3.1 is the newest version of the ActiveXperts ActiveEmail product.
Version 3.1 is feature update of version 3.0.
The mission of the product is to provide an easy-to-use programming interface to SMTP- and POP3 e-mail communications.
The product runs on the Windows 2008/Vista/2003/XP/2000 platforms.
WHAT'S NEW IN ACTIVEEMAIL 3.1
ActiveEmail 3.1 adds .NET sample projects created with Visual Studio 2005.
The .NET samples require Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0.
You must install .NET Framework 2.0, or .NET Framework 3.0 or 3.5, which both include .NET Framework 2.0, in order to run the .NET samples.
In previous versions of ActiveEmail, the .NET samples were created in Visual Studio 2002.
There are no incremental bug fixes or new features in this release other than ActiveEmail 3.0,
so it is not necessary to upgrade if you do not intend to use the .NET samples

- Upgrade from ActiveEmail 3.0 -
Upgrade to ActiveEmail 3.1 in the following way:
- Uninstall the previous ActiveEmail product. Use the 'Add/Remove Programs' applet in the Control Panel to start the Uninstall procedure;
- Download the ActiveEmail 3.1 Installation file from the ActiveXperts Software web site: www.activexperts.com/download;
- Start the ActiveEmail 3.1 Installation. The InstallShield wizard will guide you through the steps of the installation.
