Dumpfsmos.cmd - Windows 2000 Resource Kit Utility

The Windows 2000 Resource Kit includes many useful utilities. Many of these utilities will be familiar to Windows NT Server Resource Kit users. Many other are new in W2K. Many 'legacy' utilities have added functionality. The Resource Kit tools in the Windows 2000 Resource Kit are designed to run on Microsoft Windows 2000 server or workstation computers. The tools in the Resource Kit help you perform administrative tasks, automate software installation, and with other jobs.

Dumpfsmos.cmd - Dump FSMO Roles
This command-line tool dumps the Flexible Single Master Operation (FSMO) roles for a domain. Using DumpFsmos, you can find the names of the domain controllers that are performing forest-wide operations master roles, including schema master and domain naming master, and domain-wide operations master roles, including RID master, primary domain controller emulator, and infrastucture master.
