Expand.exe - Windows 2000 Resource Kit Utility

The Windows 2000 Resource Kit includes many useful utilities. Many of these utilities will be familiar to Windows NT Server Resource Kit users. Many other are new in W2K. Many 'legacy' utilities have added functionality. The Resource Kit tools in the Windows 2000 Resource Kit are designed to run on Microsoft Windows 2000 server or workstation computers. The tools in the Resource Kit help you perform administrative tasks, automate software installation, and with other jobs.

Expand.exe - File Expansion Utility

This command-line tool enables you to expand files that have been compressed by Compress.exe: File Compression Utility. Expand can also extract compressed files from a cabinet (.cab) file. Microsoft® Windows® 2000 includes Driver.cab, which contains thousands of files, and users can use this tool to expand one or a few from this cabinet for system recovery.
