Xcacls.exe - Windows 2000 Resource Kit Utility

The Windows 2000 Resource Kit includes many useful utilities. Many of these utilities will be familiar to Windows NT Server Resource Kit users. Many other are new in W2K. Many 'legacy' utilities have added functionality. The Resource Kit tools in the Windows 2000 Resource Kit are designed to run on Microsoft Windows 2000 server or workstation computers. The tools in the Resource Kit help you perform administrative tasks, automate software installation, and with other jobs.

Xcacls.exe
This tool allows you to set all file-system security options accessible in Windows Explorer from the command line. XcAcls does this by displaying and modifying the access control lists (ACLs) of files.
