Rutronik GT863-PY Terminal
The Rutronik GT863-PY terminal is the complete modem solution for wireless m2m applications. GT863-PY is the new generation of Telit terminals based on the GE863 core engine with Quad-Band and RoHS compliance as well as other additional new features. The GT863-PY with Python feature offers as an option the possibility to run customers programs inside the modem, thus making the terminal a complete self-contained hardware for individual customer solutions. Programmable I/O ports and the IIC-Bus can be used to detect external signals, connect sensors and to switch external devices. The GT863-PY offers all relevant data services over the GSM/GPRS networks. As all Telit modules, the GT863-PY offers the Jamming Detection functionality which allows the unit to detect attempts to discontinue the GSM communication by interfering with the GSM signal. Directly controlled by a standard serial RS-232 interface and offering a broad supply voltage range (9-24V DC), the GT863-PY is a universal solution for all low-volume m2m and mobile data applications. As a part of Telit's corporate policy of environmental protection, all new Telit products comply to the RoHS directive of the European Union.
