ActiveXperts Software today released version 5.1 of its SMS and MMS Toolkit product.
SMS and MMS Toolkit 5.1 adds .NET sample projects created with Visual Studio 2005.
The .NET samples require Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0. You must install .NET Framework 2.0, or .NET Framework 3.0 or 3.5, which both include .NET Framework 2.0, in order to run the .NET samples.
There are no incremental bug fixes or new features in this release other than SMS and MMS Toolkit 5.0, so it is not necessary to upgrade if you do not intend to use the .NET samples.

ActiveSocket 4.1 adds .NET sample projects created with Visual Studio 2005.
The .NET samples require Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0. You must install .NET Framework 2.0, or .NET Framework 3.0 or 3.5, which both include .NET Framework 2.0, in order to run the .NET samples.

This build has a few new checks: Exchange 2007, ISA Server 2007, McAfee Enterprise 8, Norton Antivirus 2007, Kaspersky Internet Security 7, Kaspersky Anti Virus 7, Trend Micro Internet Security 2007, Avast 4, Directory Change check, File Change check.
The Service Check has been improved: it doesn't use 'remote registry' anymore to access the remote computer, but it uses WMI instead, to avoid security problems.

ActiveXperts Software today launched a new product: ActiveXperts MMS Toolkit.
The toolkit allows software developers to send MMS messages through a GPRS connection (MM7).
The toolkit features the following formats: JPG, GIF, PNG, BMP, WBMP, TIF, WAV, MP3, MIDI, AC3, GP3, AVI, MPG, MP4, as well as some other less frequently used formats.
The toolkit supports virtually any GSM/GPRS modem.

This build supports a new type of channel: HTTP-Post channel. With this channel, users can send SMS messages through HTTP-Post (usually: port 80).

ActiveXperts today announced version 5.2 of its Network Monitor product.
Network Monitor monitors servers and workstations for availability. When problems are detected,
you're immediately notified by network message, e-mail, pager, or SMS message, before problems get out of hand.
When a failure is detected, it will try to recover the problem by running a system administrator defined program.
New in this release are:
A Quick Configuration Wizard - the first time you start the Network Monitor Manager application,
it guides you through the configuration setup. The Quick Configuration Wizard makes configuring Network Monitor very easy;
Manual is in PDF format now - by providing a PDF formatted manual instead of HTML, the printed version of the manual is better readable;
More default values configurable - now, you can configure more default values, which makes configuration of new Monitor Rules easier.

In the past, the name ActivXperts was often misspelled and written as ActiveXperts. Recently, we bought the activexperts.com domain name and changed our company name into ActiveXperts Software.
Requests for trademarks of ActiveXperts are still pending and will soon be honored.
For this reason, some of the product names are aslo changed: ActivEmail becomes ActiveEmail, ActivSocket becomes ActiveSocket, and so on.
Our activxperts.com domain name is still registered and can still be used; people can still use all activxperts.com URL's.
