ActiveXperts Demo Gateway

The ActiveXperts Demonstration Gateway is a free SMS Gateway (SMPP 3.4) that is offered to our trial users to try out the SMS Messaging Server application.

This gateway is the default option when configuring an SMPP channel in the SMS Messaging Server and it allows our trial users to send and receive a number of free SMS Messages to and from their own mobile number.

Features

The following features are supported by the ActiveXperts Demo Gateway:

  • Supports SMPP 3.4
  • Backward compatible with 3.3 clients
  • Delivery reports with 'receipted_message_id' and message 'message_state' TLV's
  • Multi-part messages using Message Payload as well as UDH headers
  • Flash messages
  • Unicode messages

Connection properties

Use the following settings to connect to the ActiveXperts Demonstration gateway: 

Server:         smpp.activexperts-labs.com
Port:           2775
SystemId:       Generated by the SMS Messaging Server
Password:       Generated by the SMS Messaging Server
Keep alive:     30 seconds
Address range:  S+<Your phone number>
TON:            International Number
NPI:            ISDN/Telephone

Troubleshooting

Supported commands

The following SMPP commands are supported by the ActiveXperts Demo Gateway. Command that are not supported are replied to with a 'GENERIC_NACK'.

  • BIND_TRANSMITTER
  • BIND_RECEIVER
  • SUBMIT_SM
  • DELIVER_SM
  • QUERY_SM
  • ENQUIRE_LINK
  • UNBIND

Message States

To receive these message status either use QUERY_SM (not supported by the SMS Messaging Server) or request a delivery report.

  • (1) ENROUTE Message is enroute (will never be used in a delivery report)
  • (2) DELIVRD Message is delivered
  • (3) EXPIRED Message has expired
  • (5) UNDELIV Message is undeliverable
  • (6) ACCEPTD Message is accepted (Used when delivery can not be confirmed)
  • (7) UNKNOWN Message state is unknown (Generic error)
  • (8) REJECTD Message is rejected
  • (97) NOCREDT There are no more credits. Send an e-mail to support@activexperts with your SystemID to request more.
