Recommended GSM Modems
ActiveXperts SMS Messaging Server works with virtually any GSM 07.05 and GSM 07.07 compliant GSM modems. ActiveXperts recommends a few modems in particular. Those modems are guaranteed to work with ActiveXperts SMS Messaging Server on most Windows platforms (depending on the drivers).

When using modems with a serial port (like the Sierra Wireless FXT001 and WaveCom Fastrack), no driver is required.

SIM card
All of the above GSM modems have a slot for a SIM card. The SIM card is NOT included with the modem, and needs to be purchased from a (local) telecom shop.
